X-ray Tetra

(Above : One of two of my x-ray tetras. Photo taken in my tank.)

This is one of two x-ray tetras that I got recently at New world Aquarium. They’re said to be hardy fish. They’re very shy, that’s for sure. It’s very hard to see the fish through the algae growing on the sides. Anyone know how to get rid of algae. I have an algae eater, you know that. But he can’t keep up with the pace it’s growing. Our tank is filled to capacity so we can’t buy another. Oh well…
So, do YOU know why the x-ray tetra is called the x-ray tetra? Because they’re transparent. You can see their spines. They seem to like the flake food very much, so that’s A O.K.
Whenever the bigger fish like the barbs and algae eater fight, they hide in the back of the tank behind the plants, like cowards! HA HA HA!!!
